“Who Will I Be? “ (Career Guidance Seminar)

Education and Career choices are one of the important decisions everyone makes in their life which determines one’s destiny. An uninformed choice of tertiary education and a wrong career choice might make you unhappy throughout your life. This seminar aims to empower students to make informed choices and decisions about their career. It helps the students to discover their talents, skills and potential and explore the various possibilities and opportunities available to them in their chosen field. It also will help them to choose the right area of study for their tertiary education and further, which in turn enables the students to become engaged and fulfilled individuals when they graduate into the world of work.  This programme enables the students to make informed career decisions aligned to their strengths, values, interests and ability and take ownership of their career and planning for the future. Participants will be introduced to RIASEC vocational choice. 

Outline: In this workshop, participants will learn to;

• Identify their strengths and weaknesses.
• Identify their skills and Talents.
• Identify the opportunities and challenges in their dream career.
• Set SMART goals and strategies to achieve those goals.
• Develop self esteem & confidence to face an interview . 
• Understand the career options available for various streams.
• Choose the right career based on RIASEC vocational choice.
• Understand the various opportunities for overseas studies.
• Manage their time effectively for better result.
• Achieve their dream career with determination and hard work.
